The bro diet mainly consist of chicken, brocolli and rice/sweet potato. Throw in a protein drink or two.
This is what the bros eat everyday. Seems very healthy. My concern is how bland it is. The positive is how quickly I can make the meals.

Chicken, brocolli and rice
Chircken, brocolli and rice
Chicken, brocolli and sweet potato
Chicken, brocolli and rice

The bros also drink their protein shakes immediately after working out. I might just give this diet a quick try.

Broccoli, chicken and rice, is basically Hollywood code for Steroids...

Every time some star gains 25 lbs of muscle in 6 months for a movie, BCR is given credit...

Sure, everyone can gain 25 lbs of muscle in 6 months, if they could just eat BCR...

All fun and games until you get scurvy.

What's wrong with just rice and veg? No need to be so damned strict.

^ A cup of broccoli has over 100% DV of vitamin C. Scurvy unlikely.

The thing is, the chicken, broccoli, and rice diet, lacks a lot of other nutrients in sufficient quantities, and is too low in fat (since they eat lean chicken) to get good bioavailablity of fat soluble vitamins. It is only optimal for a % of meals as a bodybuilder.

I like brocolli and sweet potato, could eat those fairly often, but not the lean chicken (maybe with a mustard sauce to add tang w/o the extra sodium or fat of other sauces/etc), and hell no to a bowl of plain white rice which is more harmful than helpful to anyone who doesn't need a quick blood sugar spike to reload their muscles before the next power workout.

A healthier diet for the rest of us would be brown rice with some olive/other vegetable oil in it to slow down the carb digestion, providing the healthy amount of plant based fat in the diet, and to help the lean chicken slide down if you make a casserole out of it.

Also consider that many body builders do it in cycles for a competition, will go on this nutrient robbing diet to get ready for it, then can nurse their nutrient balance back afterwards with a more normal, healthy diet.

Don't get me wrong, you could definitely do worse but if making the effort towards health instead of physique on a stage, a more varied diet is a better choice and then minimizing refined carbs (that have only a select few synthetic vitamins added back to them).

My opinion is... what's your goal? Does this help you meet your goal? Is it appealing to you? I can meet my goals without resorting to a diet that I find unappealing such as this one, but your goals may not be my goals.

Only thing about this "diet" is that you are likely unable to consume the appropriate number of calories because you're full and not eating any fats. Expect massive hormonal issues, diet fatigue and burnout, and likely a quick plateau that you'll never crest because you are already eating too little.

Rice = teeth cry tears.

If you want a no thought diet that will probably tire you out but will give you "everything".

Liver
Eggs
Nuts
Fatty Fish

Might not help the bros get the lean physique they are after, though.

But yeah if anyone was in prison and that's all they got plus some multivitamin every 2nd or 3rd day, I don't see any problem. Though I would add oats porridge to that to help with the bowel movements and reducing excess cholesterol.

Perfect foods for someone who never works out. Your insane crusade against carbs to save your teeth is not normal and especially not good for anyone who actually exercises.

Hey, chicken breasts are yummy too, if marinated right.

Some people dislike them because when they are made wrong, it's literally worse than eating cardboard and so dry that it STICKS in your throat.
Skin on chicken breast. Heat an ungodly amount of butter in a frying pan and sear the chicken skin side down. When it's got some colour chuck some diced onions and sliced garlic into the pan. Fry until the onions colour and turn the chicken over. Chuck a couple of glasses of white wine into the pan with some tarragon. Cook to reduce liquid (take the chicken out if it's cooked, don't overcook it).
Eat it and pretend to be French and healthy!

Looks good except for the rice / sweet potato (carbs) I'd add brussel sprouts or similar instead of rice / sweet potato.
