Opinions on the Samsung J3?

My mother had her Moto X start to malfunction recently. I'm thinking of replacing it with the J3. Really, all she does with the phone is calls and text, with the occasional photo or video.

Looking at reviews, the processor is roughly equivalent to the snapdragon 410? I have a 410 device, the Moto E and it noticeably lags at times.

Just two words: avoid it. The J3 is an awful device, even the Moto G2 is better.

The Acer Z410 2Gb edition is an interesting budget option only if she won't miss the HD screen. Otherwise is better to go to the Moto G3.

J3 is bad it uses a really old Cortex-A7 cpu. The 410 is much better. You should look into something with at least a 615.

Honestly, I don't like the style of Samsung J3. But if you are in a tight budget, you can go for this device. It is a good device in low range.

I got arm twisted into buying one while on vacation when my G4 motherboard fried. It was okay, but there is a noticeable drop in picture quality and snappiness from even that two gen old phone. For texting and calls and even facebook I doubt she will even notice anything amiss.

How long did you have your g4 before it fried? I've had mine since about February and have noticed some issues with screen burn
