Opinions on This Rig?

I am building rig for a friend at work. He mostly wants to try some video editing. Price and Stability is a factor.

T-bird 1.4
Epox 8K7A(non-Raid)
256mb Crucial PC2100
Plextor 12x
Geforce 2 MX400 (have not decided on brand, he is not much into games)
Maxtor 7200 rpm 60gig
Enlight EN-7237
Pinnacle DV200 (he already bought this)
I choose the epox because many people rave about it and I am considering getting the 8K7A+ for my self and the price. Is this a stable board or should I use a MSI K7 Master?
Opinions?
Video card suggestions?

I would suggest the ECS K7s5a mobo. Cheaper and faster., especially if he doesn't want to overclock.

go for a geforce2 gts or pro, they go for like 130-150 or so right now and they're way better than the MX400s.

I second the ECS K7S5A.. and I would go with the Radeon LE .. its only $70 and can perform like a GTS

video editing? Aren't GF2s notorious for their poor 2D quality? Maybe you should go for a Matrox, if he doesn't game their 2D is top notch; if he games a little the Radeons offer a good compromise between gaming and 2D quality


Mobo: The ECS board seems to be getting great reviews and at 60$ incl. LAN you can't go wrong.

Also for video editing, 512 MB might be a good idea especially at the current prices of RAM

Overall, seems like a good system
