Hi
This is not a plug, merely trying to guage public opinion and interest. I live in England and my company is close to completing a patent on a anti-noise generator for PC's. It is the size of a 3½" drive and fit into PC casing in the same way as a hard drive - power is fed my a standard 4 pin molex. This device will allow the user to put as many fans in the PC as you like with no irritating fan noise of any kind - a silent PC.
How many of you might be interested in such a product. We anticipate retail price to be in the region of £50 (UK). Our thinking is that this is not too much money more than a high qaulity heatsink/fan combination, but much cheaper than a water cooled system (and a hell of a lot easier to install). If feedback is positive, we'll make an approach to AnandTech to review a pre-production unit.
Thanks
Gaz
