What I can't understand is the fact that I am prime stable at 275*9 for 8 hours+ (I tested last night), yet, when I go to 280Mhz, it won't even _POST_. I have messed with lowering the memory to 2T and Relaxing Max Asynchronous Latency/ Read Preamble, but nothing seems to work.

In any case, I'm going to try lowering the vcore to the stock 1.4, (have to use negative values on the 9npa), and see how long this thing will prime for.

Edit: So far so good, vcore is -0.025, I'm priming as I type, but the vcore fluctuation is still there. Image below shows that vcore was fairly stable at 1.475v before I started stressing the CPU with prime, yet it drops to 1.44v when prime starts. The red line again marks the time when prime started. Ideas?

EDIT 2:
Finished priming 10 hours overnight @ 275 * 9 with 1.475 vcore. Ram is running .83 divider @ 176Mhz. 1.45v is a no go, as it fails prime after 5-10 minutes. I guess I'm stuck here unless I want to drop down to the .66 divider to run 290 * 9, though I would have to up the vcore to do that... I think I am going to stay where I am for 24/7 usage. Not a bad OC, but for an opty, it is pretty low. 3DMARK05 score is 7857 with an evga 7800 GT @ 500/1147.

hmmm, bios upgrade??? im using the 9/05 one. they just brought out like a 12/22/05 one im wonderin if its worth it. i know if i do it ill get half CPU multi's like 8.5 instead of just 8 and 9. do you think it would work if i lowered the multi and raised the fsb?

I thought that half multis were supposed to be unstable, or something with optys. More Ram Dividers is what I would like, I'm going to look into that new bios. I'm just a little bit leery of flashing, as I've never done it before. I will check to see if others are having any luck with it. Maybe at xtreme systems or something.

Ok, I waited about 10 minutes more, then took another screenshot of the vcore graph, and it looks to me like it is kinda bouncing all over the place. Once again, the red line is where I stopped priming.

its normal. under load, your PSU rails and voltages will change. just make sure they dont change by more than 3-5%.

my DFI Ultra-D NF4 recently failed on me. i just got my replacement. hopefully ill be able to get better results with my CABNE 0544 144.
