opteron 144,x1900xt or op165, 7900GT

I love to have a dual core but it seems that even after overclocking 7900gt, it can't compete with x1900xt, not considering the better IQ.:roll: It's a hard decision! and I'm trying to keep as cheap as possible.

I think you'd be fine with either processor, but I think that you'd regret picking a 7900GT over a x1900xt. Honestly, if your already going that far, go for 165 and x1900xt and start warming up the ramen!

Go for the 144 and 7900GT

I've got a X1900XT and I must say I'd rather have the 7900GT because of noise, heat, and not having crappy drivers.

If all you cared about was noise and heat when why bother with the ati solution in the first place? Crappy drivers are contestable, seeing as how with driver support the x1900xt can do HDR + AA and NVidia doesn't offer a similar solution...

and you can tell the difference on 1920x1080 with AA on and off?


to op: have you volt moded your 7900gt yet?

A volt modded GT will come close to the 1900, the dual core is much more future proof and is faster now too. I regret not buying dual core when I could.
