P.S. I'm also a Unix/Linux geek and multimedia in Nix systems is an AMD world. I'm not sure why this is, but the code has better support for AMDs. I'm sure in the future it will change, but when I started using Nix systems if you wanted Multimedia apps you ran AMD, and so since then I've always been a AMD fan, and continue to be one.

I just installed Zenwalk 3.0 into my "WorkRig". I have to admit this is a pretty nice distro, I'm running XFce under the XFS filesystem, and this PUP FLYS!

Why not go for the 165 @ 150 ? It'll run dual core @ 2.8 on most system.

Yes...why limit to single core and only these? An Opteron 165 would be tons better choice.

if money wasn't an iddue I wouldn't even look at AMD and I'd hop on a QX6700
