Damn........I guess I should hate Monarch, too. Made me spend some money I didn't really need to. But the price for the 146 was just too good to pass by.

Ordered around 1PM today, got a shipping notice and tracking number at 6:45PM today. Not too bad.....almost faster than Newegg at getting it out the door.

Hmmm...that's funny. :roll: I ordered a few days ago, talked to Monarch today and they said "barring any issues" my 146 would not ship out until early next week. I cancelled and told them that was the last time I'd ever do business with them again....simply put, Monarch sucks hind tit.........

this might be a stupid question. but any motherboard with socket 939 will accept an opteron right? i am interested in mAtx made by asus and msi, but they only list Athlon64 and FX chip.

I would say that if you are not looking for a HOT deal, go with ZZF or Newegg. Hell, I always welcome the option
to pay $50-$70 more for something, especially when I get to kick the Gov their share!!

Remember this is a hot deals forum. Often the hotest deals will involve a bit of PATIENCE, especially when dealing with rebates or a vendor who has a limited workforce. But bear in mind, the extra time it takes their limited workforce is what gives them the ability to give you a deal in the firstplace.

If you NEED a component so bad that you cannot wait an extra week or so, then what are you doing on a hot deals
forum in the first place? Please stop cluttering up a thread with your complaints about shipping time. Save it for reseller ratings.

$50-70 more? What if you don't have a hsf for that new opteron? That becomes only $20-45 more if not less depending on the hsf with a retail warranty vs monarch's extra warranty.
