Sun today said that the Mexican Ministry of Education has agreed to purchase to buy more than 27,000 AMD Opteron-based workstations over a period of five years. The deal is valued at $400 million and is the largest for Sun in Latin America to date.
The Ministry of Education said it plans to install the systems in fifth- and six-grade classrooms in Mexico's national public school system.

If only 27,000 cpus sets AMD that far back with production, they really are in trouble. With 5,000 200mm wafers coming out of fab30 per week, they should be able to make these by noon.
