Anyone have any idea of what kind of steppings people have been getting lately?

I have an opteron 146 and I'd hate to have to step down to 2.5ghz from 3ghz.

I'm in the same boat. I keep thinking I should get a 170 for the 10x multi. But that sure is a great price.

Wow, that's a great price too. No one had any in stock for 2 weeks now. The Monarch deal is better, with cheaper shipping too. I know some people have had problems with Monarch in the past, but still....

Let's just hope I get a good stepping. Where can I find a list of good/bad ones for this chip? Also, is the HS/F that comes with the CPU decent?

That's incredible. Also says 110 Watts. Wonder how those figures stack up against other dual cores?

Great chip. I have mine unning at 2.3ghz stock voltage stock HSF rock stable. Took me all of 4 minutes to do. I know it will go higher. Perhaps when I have an hour or so to burn Ill try to get it up to 2.7+

Edit: Oh yeah, I got mine fom mwave last time around (3 weeks ago)and got stepping CCBBE 0615DEPMW oh yeah

I don't know about the 80 amps, but the 110 watt figure is absolute max TDP, so in actual use it won't be that high.

Edit: and nyker96 has a very valid point - Opty prices will be cut soon, may be worthwhile to wait

BTW, my 165 is running stable at 2.4 which is a 600 mhz overclock. Not bad.

Same thing here. I have to wait for the 170 to get cheap because ther's no way I'm getting 2.7 on a 9x multiplier with my current MB/RAM combo. If the 170 hit's $160, I'm in.
