2.6 @ stock? Wow, I wonder if this is to do with my mobo or the 8.5 multiplier (which is now shown in BIOS and probably not officially supported) but my chip (same stepping) fails prime at 2.55 GHZ, 300*8.5 with stock voltage.
If i had water cooling, i wont hesitate to push her to max volt @ 300~320*9!
One thing about RM clock, is it safe to have such a big jump from say, 1.2 to 2.4 in matter of seconds? I noticed after i quit a game, and i check my CPU monitor, it shows some violent oscillation, and some times the CPU switches from the idle to full load 4 times in less than 10 seconds. I got a little worried and set my idle clock to the default 1.8, but down volted it to 1.10V.
Amazingly, while the stock clock is 1.8 and stock volt is 1.35, it primes just fine on only 1.10 V with about 3C cooler both idle and load. Can someone answer my concern?
