Opteron 165 stock HSF or Zalman 7000Cu?

I already bought the 7000Cu, but upon opening my new Opty 165 I was surprised to see such a high end HSF in it. Any benchmarks of speed/temp between the two?

Side-note: The stock already has a thermal pad on it, so if I do end up using it, how does one take the stuff off? I want to replace it with some of my Arctic Silver Ceramique form my last computer.

If you haven't already got the Zalman, keep the stock cooler. It performs on par with the XP-90, whose performance compared with the Zalman I can't find.

Save yourself the trouble and use the pre applied TIM.

The Zalman may have an edge in noise, but that would be the only reason to use it.

And yes you might as well use the included TIM.
