Optical Drive Problems

I am using a Samsung SH-223 DVD/CD burner and the problem is when I insert media, it will not play. It worked fine when I installed Win7 and other software, but now nothing. I have AutoPlay enabled. I figured the drive is bad so I RMA'd back to Newegg and got my new drive today and the same exact problem. BIOS and Computer recognize the drive and it shows what media is in the drive, but it will not play. Any thoughts or help?

Thanks, corkyg. I seem to have some issues with my motherboard. When I installed the new drive I installed it in SATA port 3, and then I decided to see what would happen if I put it in a different SATA port (4), and it is up and running with out a hitch. Go figure. Not sure why, but at least i have an Optical drive that works now.
