Optical Freeze and/or SpazZ

I have a MS Optical Mouse and when I'm in-game the mouse will begin to flutter around the screen. Sometimes in windows it will freeze up and the red light will go off, but I can still use the keys to navigate. I've tried it in a Belkin USB HUB and also plugged directly into my MOBO, but I still have problems. Also, I'm using the default drivers that came with it.

I have the same problems. My mouse will spaz out when i play AOE2. It will go to the very left and stay there for about 2 sec. Dun know what it could be. I'm gonna check for new drivers today and see if that fixes the issue

If you plug the Microsoft Intellimouse w/intellieye into a usb connection Windows seems to identify it as HID-Compliant mouse. And it will use standard HID-Compliant mouse drivers which are crap and cause these glitches. Plug it into a ps/2 port and get the latest drivers from micro$loth...the drivers comes with itellipoint 3.2 so it's about 4mb d/l
