works fine for me, just keep the accleration in the mouse settings fairly low.

i've been using mine for 2 years also and loved it, but what i've recently noticed is that having a good mouse pad (even though its optical) makes a huge difference as far as being able to control how fast you turn and stuff like that. the most popular and imo the best mousepad period is the func surface. doesn't slide around, doesn't get dirty, has a smooth side and a rough side for whichever you like better.

My crappy first generation kensington optical sometimes had some problems. My Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 handles just fine.

At times it can pull, like if you know someone is behind you and you try to pull 180 VERY quickly. I'm a person who never uses the keyboard to turn though, just strafing... It's still better than a ball mouse though, it never gets dirty.

logitech makes the dual optical. should be great for counterstrike/fps.

I been useing the MS Intelemous optical Explorer for about 2 years with cs...nothing beats an optical at that game. Also all the extra side buttons on the explorer are great for reload and use and other quick acess keys

I'm using the Logitech Dual Optical. This thing never misses a beat and I have the sensitivity cranked high on this thing. It's an awesome mouse.

I have my sensitivity set to 6.5 in Counter-strike. I used to have the problem of my character just spinning out of control if I changed directions too fast. That hasn't happened for months now - WindowsXP seemed to correct the problem.

But yeah - optical mouses are much better than regular mouses with a ball!

It's wonderful! Just make sure your surface is clean and the table doesn't have any dents or crap on it. Or else that might affect your movement in the game

I've been using an optical mouse almost as long as I've been really into gaming, I've never had any problems and I think I do better with an optical mouse than I do with a ball mouse in CS.
