Options for 12" notebook w/ built-in DVD drive

Just looking for some quick suggestions for notebooks w/ 12" screens that have a built-in optical drive. It looks like it's going to take a long time to dig up a list of options by searching manufacturer's sites. Thanks!

ummmm its rare for a 12 inch screen notebook to have a built in optical drive. >.<
Your best choice might be from avertec. I believe there 12inch and have opticals, or u can try asus.

Honestly, id go with a 14inch, a used ibm t series might hit the spot.

I think the Dell 700m has a built in drive. MSI also makes some with it built in.

The dell 700/710 are nice and provide a optical drive standard.

Averatec has 12" and 13.3" models (that 13.3" model seemed like the "just right" size for well-balanced portability and functionality)
Dell has the 12" 710m
Lenovo X series
as well as several others from above
One of the major factors would be your price range. If you wanna go "cheap" check out averatec and dell. If you have $ to spend, check out the Lenovo.

Asus is a much better option than Averatec and Dell, and cheaper than IBM.
The Asus Z33A is a VERY nice option. With the extended-capacity battery, it can go for over six hours on a charge. It can be had in a pretty darn good configuration for about 1400$.
A good place to get it is JNCS.com. (ASUS sells most of their laptops in barebones form; JNCS will assemble it, install Windows, and provide a warranty.)

12" ibook or 12" powerbook would be my vote. If you want to wait there should be a 12" Macbook Pro ( I still dont like that name) pretty soon. I would love to have one of those

lol they arent a core duo but they are pretty solid especially for a 12' laptop. Very few laptops wiht as many features in such a small package for the price
