Options for dual DVI

I recently purchased two 19" LCD monitors, and have them hooked up to my Radeon 9600 Pro (one DVI, one VGA). I would like to have both LCD's on DVI, however. I don't play games and am wondering what the most cost effective way is for me to get dual DVI.

Should I buy a second video card (PCI) with DVI? Or a new card with dual DVI? Do old school PCI video cards perform well enough (compared with AGP)?

if you arent going to be doing gaming on the video card, a PCI or an AGP (i think you have agp because of your 9600pro) card will be fine.

personally, i would buy 1 card with dual-dvi so you dont have to mess with driver settings and the hassle of another card, but that is just me. there are lots of options you can choose from, like the geforce 6600GT (xfx, bfg) and all the way up to the 7800GS (all manufacturers put dual-dvi on their cards).

im not too sure about which cards ati put dual-dvi on...but just look around on newegg and im sure you can find one without too much trouble.

gaming wise, a PCI based video card will perform much slower compared to its AGP counterpart.

also, what is your price range?

Thanks. My 9600 Pro serves me pretty well, so I'm really looking for something very inexpensive. Technically I don't NEED dual DVI, I just thought it'd be nice.

H.I.S. used to make a dual-DVI 9600. That'd be exactly what you want then ... simply because due to the inherent slowness of the PCI bus, two-card solutions will seriously STINK, even in 2D. I've tried.
