That might have passed if they said Taiwan, but they said Republic of China

Told ya Miss Teen South Carolina 2007 tutored Trump on geography :awe:

I can't think of a worse insult to the President of PRC than being addressed as president of ROC. Sure it was in the WH press release, but competent people will check these things before they go out, especially after Trump took a call from president Tsai from Taiwan, which broke protocol in a major way.

Most amusing thing about the whole china situation is they were public enemy #1 before mexican rapists took the lead, as concluded by empirical analysis of his tweets. But now sucking Xi's cock is taking precedence over Putin's. Guess the CCP really knows how to make the weak-minded into puppets as well as the best of them.

Isn't calling the President of the United States an ape a racist act ? Just checking. Maybe it's only OK sometimes.

Good grief you're trying hard to be stupid. The connection here is that Trump and Orangutans are orange, which is not a racial trait of white people (thus the name). Now, if you'd be so kind as to fill in the blanks for the connections between previous POTUSes who've been compared to monkeys or apes? Which president? What was the connection? Why did it seem to happen to one particular president, and what might color perceptions of him such that that comparison was made more frequently?

Gee I freaking wonder.

You're a perfect example of how a lot of conservativism is the use of intellectual dishonesty to avoid dealing with the cognitive dissonance between your idea of yourself as a non-terrible human and your prejudices and their effects.

They play dumb because many liberals find in their interest to believe them.

Honestly I'd say they play dumb because they themselves can't cope with the truth. Much easier to believe falsehoods that protect your sense of self than to have a self worth being. So they believe lies that justify what they are, which spur them to needing more and stronger lies to cover worse and worse truths.

That it keeps a lot of those pesky people from asking the really pointed questions is a bonus, and not an inconsiderable one, but still a bonus.

I'm just pointing out that it's in their interest to string liberals along by playing hella dumb, like not able to graduate middle school english level dumb sometimes, and it's also in liberal interests to "educate the moron" no matter how absurd. That's literally 90%+ of the posts here. Are we really to believe these people are literally imbeciles who if correct should be too stupid to use a computer?

I don't doubt that conservatives lack much respect for factual truth, but that in itself doesn't explain these massive threads that rehash the same handful of basic facts.

This is the kind of diplomatic fuck up that happens when you fire almost everyone that has ever been a diplomat. Face it, this team is incompetent. Well, at everything other than lying.

Just curious, it seems there's different rules that apply to the left and leftists than apply to conservatives. Thanks for explaining how it's OK for those on the left to be racist bigots.

Also what happens when resentful State Dept. bureaucrats do what little they can to make President Trump look bad. Minor offense, minor apology and a big so what.

Yes it's racist when you & friends apply that to a race of people, which is why you guys do it, and not racist to apply that to some individual outside the context of their race.

It's funny how it all works. If we started calling Trump a dumb n***** people would think it's racist but i guess they would be wrong. It still seems highly inappropriate.

Edit: I was sure the bad word would be auto censored.

It obviously has nothing to do with Tigger purging the State Department...and then leaving the positions unfilled.

Disparaging a terrible person & their sycophants doesn't seem all that inappropriate. I mean, people disparage the nazis all the time.

Thanks to liberalism, racism carries a social stigma in modern society. That's why racists do love to pretend they're merely race realists, and liberals are the Real racists for taking that away from them.

Sure, though it's rare to see Nazi's skin/hair used as a target of disparagement. Just the opposite IME.

It seems to you because you're being intellectually dishonest, and you're not even answering the questions I asked of you because you know for a goddamned fact that unlike Trump, who has distinctive non-natural coloration that facilitates a comparison to a very distinctively orange monkey, you're trying to excuse the invocation of one of the oldest racist shorthands in our society, one that served as a foundation for pseudoscientific racism and the foundation for a caste system that still isn't fully eliminated from our society.

How about you ask yourself how I can ask questions that you simply cannot answer in a forthright and straightforward manner and what that does to your inner beliefs?

Can you fill this sentence template and have it excuse what you're going to bat for?

President {Name} was compared to {variety of ape} because of his {trait}. This is not racist because {trait} is not commonly associated with {race} as a whole in a pejorative sense, but instead with the individual himself.
I can trivially.

President Trump was compared to an orangutan because of his fake looking orange tan and hair. This is not racist because fake looking orange tans are not commonly associated with Caucasians as a whole in a pejorative sense, but instead with the individual himself.

I defy you to fill that sentence out with a proper demonstration why depictions of a certain president (and let's be clear here, we all know which one you're talking about and why, but you're too afraid to actually volunteer the name so you can "catch" the person who fills it in with a lazy "why do you think it was him? Is it because of his race?". I don't care one bit about winning the argument so I'm trying to make it as hard as possible for you to weasel out of with yourself).

Why can't you simply and trivially demonstrate a non-racist motivation for the comparison you're desperate to excuse?

Why is it that lefties' accusations of racism are bothering you so much that you're trying to gin up such a thin pretense to excuse your earlier behavior?

And one last one for fun: Why do you need lefties to be such a villain, and what are you justifying by using the specter of their perfidy? Where would that leave you if their comparison was actually based on coloration (a common theme in a lot of their jokes about him) while your side's is based on a well-known racist shorthand? If your ugliness wasn't necessitated by their ugliness, then does that just leave you as the villain in even your own story?

Answer those questions to yourself and tell me what you come up with. Thanks and have a nice day!
