Ordering now.. Shuttle or Epox?

Should I get Shuttle's AK31a or Epox's 8KHAL? both are similar price.

Quick responses as to why one is better would help! here's what's going on them

1 512mb PC 2100 ddr Centon ram stick
AMD Athlon XP 1800+
GeForce 3 TI500's
SB Live Values
30 gig HD
DVD Rom
Burner
Nic
floppy

My main question is are both these boards "forgiving" for type of ram? Or is one better? STABILITY is key, speed second. Thanks!!

I am personally going with the Epox 8KHA+. One of the boards you want is the Epox 8KHAL. The 8KHAL is locked from overclocking and I don't remember reading anything about unlocking the L version of the board. You might want to add $20 if you want to go with Epox to buy the 8KHA+ if you are planning to overclock.

Overclocking is not a concern. 1800+ amd xp coming should be ok. I just need to know if there are problems w/ ram. I just read a thread about a "c1" error on the + version of the epox board. I couldn't afford Crucial ram and had to get centon, dunno how it will perform on that board. That's my main concern.

I'm happy with my AK31 rev3, but if I were to do it again I'd get the Epox 8KHA+.

I just orderd too.. I went for the shuttle. I don't like I will just return and get a different one.

ram should work fine on both boards. it just won't be able to overclock, but since that's not a concern, you shouldn't worry about ram compatibility.
