I buy all my beef from a local farm that does grass feed with small amounts of grain to finish. All the cattle are born and raised on the farm. Lower risk of anything nasty.
Much better quality beef because the farmer is the direct salesman. He ages it himself and if it sucks then his business suffers more than if he was just selling at wholesale.
It has been some of the best beef I have ever had.
Bingo. If there is a local farmers market of any size there is usually a rancher there that sells their products (and if not, someone there will have a source).

I have bought from Omaha Steaks before (still have some left in the freezer) and the prices and food quality are very good. They deliver quickly and in a styrofoam chest, packed with dry ice. Will likely need to reorder in January.
We don't have a dedicated freezer so I have no room for that much meat. Also, for everything except ground beef I prefer to use beef that hasn't been frozen.
