Not sure if anyone is looking for a network guy in the Pittsburgh or Las Vegas areas (living in pittsburgh, looking to move to vegas).

Novell admin, all levels of Windows experience, Notes admin, some linux admin.... Way too much to list.

Check out my resume for a more in depth listing.

Well I have joined the working again at least for 2 months hopefully it will last longer. Gotta have faith and show em what I'm made of. All of us that are unemployed keep pressing on. I lost focus for a little while but I decided on New Years I would have a job before Jan was out and thats just what happened.

I will have to relocate to Dubuque, IA but for the salary plus per diem it is more than worth it.

Also, If anyone is interested I have a lead on a Windows/Unix position here in Chicago. Just email me and I will give you the details.

The Transportation Security Administration is advertising that they are looking for people to become Part Time Airport Security Screeners. I don't know if anyone here would be interested in such a job, but here's the site anyway. Link

All candidates must meet minimum qualification requirements established by law including:
U.S. citizen or U.S. national.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or 1 year of security or aviation screening experience.
English proficiency.
Pass a background check.

I heard them advertising on the radio, I have no "pull".

There are still two more openings at Siemens Mobile phones for contract that could turn permanent. Also, at my company, we are hiring like 10 Test Engineers also. I'll tell you the name of the company via private message or email. I don't want to make my employment public here You never know how many of my coworkers read this forum.

First you re-institute the draft.

Then you draft 3,000,000 potential workers age 18 thru 27.

That should make up for the additional 400,000 net who will loose their jobs this year.

Out of work South Florida tech here. I've gone to school for MCSE and CCNA, and have an AS degree. I am going nights to get my 4 year CS degree. Hard to take those Microsoft exams when you don't have a job!

Hello Everyone,

As I stated I have returned to the land of the employed hooray, But I have returned to help out my fellow Anandtech Brothers and Sisters. The company I work for is currently looking for System Admins with AIX/HPUX and Sys Admins with Solaris/Linux. There are also 9 open positions for computer operators. If your strong in any of these shoot me an email for more information. The positions are located in Dubuque, IA so I hope you like isolation.

Dracos!

I believe the 2.6 million job forecast. I have offices all over the state that each have increased their personnel. Also Monster.com has been showing an increase in need for tech employees all over the nation.

it seems to me that the level of lower level entry level helpdesk / IT type jobs on monster is on the upswing.

if you want to go into development you are pretty much screwed still though (i am one of those).

there also seem to be a large amount of temp jobs coming out, with 3-6 month contracts etc (i also have one of those i'm a computer operator, and believe me i would almost kill to get an entry leverl development job)

i.e. my mom has been temping since 9/11 . she cant skip anywhere, but they pay her like $30 an hour to do finance work in 6 month terms everywhere. which is 1/3 more than she made when she had a normal job. temping is odd.
