Oh BTW, for everyone looking for a job, please sign up on The Kit Listfor job listings there -- the recruiters on that network are really really good! Plus, there's like 50+ GOOD tech jobs per day listed there. My Scansoft recruiter (Rebecca Davis of Aspire Search) alerted me about this list. She rocks

Me == employed

Hmmm, interesting:

This looks very similar to free effort started here at Jobnetworking.org:

Kit List - Helping Great People Find Great Jobs

The KIT (Keep In Touch) List is an email job posting service where employers and recruiters advertise permanent or consulting job opportunities to over 28,000 high-quality professionals.

FOR EMPLOYERS AND RECRUITERS:
The KIT List is a fast and effective way to reach prospective employees and consultants in a wide range of fields throughout the U.S.
Since KIT List members are referred by friends or colleagues, the list is maintained with a high standard of excellence for job candidates.

FOR JOB SEEKERS AND CONSULTANTS:
Whether you're actively looking for permanent or consulting work...or you just want to get a pulse on the market...the KIT List provides a daily stream of job opportunities directly to your email address.

The KIT List was founded in 1997 by Sue Connelly, a marketing communications consultant (www.connellycom.com). She created an email list to ?keep in touch? with her clients and friends at Silicon Graphics in Mountain View, California. When the company began layoffs, Sue started sending job leads to help her friends. As those friends added their own friends and colleagues to the list, it rapidly evolved into a powerful job resource.

Kit List FAQ

Just wanna come in here and second the Kit List. It's a GREAT job source for Bay Area residents. I referred a friend there about 3 weeks ago after he was out of work for about 3 months, and he is about to sign on to a linux software engineering position he found on the site (entry level). Check it out and good luck everyone!!!

The only problem I'm having with this is the way I see the company treats its salary employees. So choice is either let the contract end next month and move back out into trying to get another gig or duke it out here with a Fortune 15 Company that has a revolving door team of IT.

Stick it out. MUCH easier to get a job when you already have a job.

Still absolutely NOTHING up here in Winnipeg, MB, Canada.

I'm going to have to pack up my family and move if things don't improve.... I have 9 months until the wife's maternity pay runs out and we can no longer pay the bills. (I really, REALLY don't want our son being raised in daycare!)

Well I wouldn't bother coming next door here to Saskatchewan. Dry as a bone as far as IT work goes...unless you want to work for $8/hr at Futureshop. I'm thinking about switching careers more and more everyday...

I applaud the decision to have a parent stay home with the kids bluemax! My wife has stayed home with our daughter and now our son as well. We feel it is the best decision for them. That isn't to say that it is easy.

I am working helpdesk/support at a manufacturing company and have been trying to move on for over a year now, with no luck.

If anyone knows of anything in Louisville, KY/Southern IN area please let me know - A+, CLS (Lotus Notes/Domino Administration)
