Description of Position
The I.T. Technician will be responsible for looking after clients? needs, handling their telephone request in a
positive and professional manner, and also for addressing and resolving any problem. More specifically, the
Technician will have the following responsibilities:
?? Configure and repair personal computers, laptops and printers;
?? Install and update software;
?? Evaluate the clients? needs, provide professional technical assistance;
?? Receive information requests and complaints from the clients;
?? Plan and implement purchase orders;
?? Maintain and reconcile information relating to client records;
?? Act as contact with different services and outside companies;
?? Be available to travel to different company sites;
?? Be available to work between 7 am and midnight;
?? Be available for a 24/7 emergency service, nights and weekends.
Experience (essential)
?? 5 years experience with computer science;
?? Excellent knowledge of software - Microsoft Office;
?? Excellent knowledge of technical support - Windows, PC configuration.
Qualifications
?? Excellent knowledge of computer science;
?? Strong aptitudes for dealing with clients on the telephone;
?? Ability to provide a higher quality client service by quickly resolving computer problems.
?? Good oral and written communication skills, in both French and English is essential;
?? Good team spirit;
?? Experience with client service;
?? Strong listening skill;
?? Ability to work in a fast pace environment while executing multiple tasks;
?? Valid driver?s licence.
Computer science knowledge: Microsoft tools, MS Office, Internet configurations, TCP/IP, modems and other
features related to computer networks.
Desirable qualifications: Microsoft Certification
