About a year and a half ago I allowed an update on my original Xbox One console. It ran to a point, seemed to not finish and just froze up. I let it sit for an hour or two with no difference, and when the controller and console buttons did nothing I pulled the power cord for a minute. Upon powering back up, everything was fine and dandy, like nothing had happened. About two months ago I turned it on and another update and it ran just fine. Today it is doing it again. It reached 84% and then froze. It has been that way for an hour. The hard drive is mostly empty so it isn't like it is starved for storage space for the upgrade, and I have a Gigabit Internet connection that is hard wired to the unit.
Before I go back down there in another hour from now and pull the cord, anyone else experience this? BTW, I have never had this happen with my Xbox One S console. Both are configured for passive, automatic updates but the UPS in the home theater is acting strange and after a power outage it shuts the UPS off for some odd reason and doesn't allow pass-through power on backup power outlets..
