I know we live in an age where those daring to question official statements or accounts are derided as outliers, or worse demonized. But if true, about bin Laden's body buried at sea, I can't blame the world for questioning such a rash and stupid decision.

Stupid and rash? It was well timed in and it fit with his beliefs. They were able to get DNA tests to confirm, and then treat his body according to their customs all in under 24ish hours. He may not have deserved it, but it makes us look more civilized in the long run.

I am sure there is a lot of manouvering happening between US administration and Pakistan.

I think USA should be able to exact a lot of pressure on this issue and finally bury al-Qaeda in Pakistan.

Yup. It was odd listening to the MSNBC feed before the speech. They were saying how Osama had affected the country and its foreign policy so much, he practically redefined them for the past 10 years. They talked about security measures, airport screenings, roads around certain buildings being blocked off, about how these were reactions to the fear of another attack.

Yet just after 9/11 everyone was talking about how if you change then you've let the terrorists win.

Bush didn't care because Bin Laden was the bogeyman for war profiteering. Time to pull out of that god forsaken wasteland and stop nation building in a place that hates us.
