if its the latter, i never said i would have rather had our SEALs walk into a "vipers nest" and i said nothing about preparedness. in fact i agree with all your points (i did say they "risked their lives and are heroes").

All im saying is it doesnt seem as crazy when you think of it as a few dudes in the middle of the night vs 24 elite warriors and that it doesnt seem as large of a risk in hindsight.

Indeed you would think so. However in hindsight it makes sense that there were few people guarding him. This is how he managed to go so long undetected. The fewer people around him the better in terms of him remaining hidden. If there were 50 armed soldiers in the compound protecting him, chances are one of them would have eventually ratted him out.

I'm down with that excuse. They needed to chum him up real good to facilitate the only possible end result of a successful sea burial: being eaten. Just stay in the water long enough for shit to chow down on him.

I always get a giggle when I think of how this beautiful being was probably treated by the SEALs. I somehow doubt he made it out to the chopper on a litter, or got wrapped in white before the ocean dump, or anything that would go with 'normal' treatment of a dead body.

I see somebody dragging him outside by a foot, clunking his head off of furniture legs and door jambs. Chuck him into chopper, entertain yourself on the way out by taking turns playing hand-puppet with him. S'all right, bin Laden? Salright. Salright? Salright.
