Must have missed this thread in my dazed state, "once conscience, moves his arms and legs wildly trying to remove the tubes from his body", that's a good sign that everything is firing properly. Imagine waking up in an a la Matrix condition... he just wasn't sneaky enough and they got him sedated. You're suppose to wait until the night shift then make your escape...

A small update....my brother is somewhat responsive, but the doctors have said that he has some brain damage. They said that it's not so simple to say how much, as the human brain is something that you can't really always tell about. ...so nobody can say for sure. The ask him if he knows where he is and he did say "hospital". It's a day by day thing. Again, thanks for the prayers........

(Oh, and I didn't mean that anyone should pray if they don't want to...Prayers and/OR THOUGHTS of recovery all work for me....and my brother James)....

Hopefully the brain damage is limited and James can recover. Only time will tell but at least he's here and there's some hope.

Good news, Engineer. Maybe not the best news, but at least he's hanging in there, and is responsive. It could have been a LOT worse.

sometimes with someone that has had a heart attack and then followed by a stroke it will take 6 months to recover. ie walking may be fine but you might stutter when talking and it takes time.

Small update again: He's awake and has memory of relatives....has even called a few by name. Great news. On to bigger and better recovery!

P.S. Sorry, haven't been around much lately....between work, family and my brother, haven't had much time (or spirit too ) to do the fun things in life (not saying that Family isn't fun...you know what I mean! )
