I just wanted to let the Linux gamers know that I saw a link on Ars regarding the bankruptcy filing of Loki.

Granted, it's Chapter 11, but still.... we Linux gamers may want to follow this closely.

I have recently discovered Day Of Defeat.

It is not only hammering my seti times but has also destroyed my ability to play CS.

It's a he,14 yr old and judging from the screams of pleasure coming from his room during his CS session I think the upgrade/reinstall was a success..

I upped him from a 20 gig IBM to a 30 gig 75GXP and increased his ram to 256 mgs

What kills me is how blazing in fast his 800 mhz athlon is with Win98SE, I'm running a 1g Tbird with 512 mgs and Win2k and it doesn't feel anywhere near as quickof course I won't have to reboot for a year or so but still

You want to know what the funiest thing is?

Geforce3 and Det4's will perform almost as good as Radeon 8500, and work in 2k(something still not even close to perfect in the world of ATi)
