I'm running DF and am still playing with the notebook.

Anybody know how to do a hard reset on a notebook. I see a button that says "rest" under the F5 key but function and the F5 key didn't work. I was playing a DVD and cause the video driver wasn't up to date. I finally pulled the battery, the on/off button didn't work.

The memory is infineron PC-2700.

hold the power button down for 5-6seconds, to force a manual shut down, then turn it back on as usual.
