OT: Related Rebates

Several months ago I bought a Cendyne (Lite-On) 52x CD-RW drive from OfficeMax and successfully received the $30 rebate. Recently I noticed that there is another deal going on for the same drive. I have been so happy with mine that I'd like to get one to give as a gift. I'm wondering if I will run into trouble if I submit this new rebate because of the previous one. This is using a different offer number (but is submitted to the same PO Box). I know that the limit of one rebate per household is supposed to prevent people from buying large quantities of the product and reselling them, but I know that some rebate companies will do whatever they can to ensure that they can reject the rebate request. Anyone have any experience, comments regarding related rebates like this?

BTW, as long as the rebates are from different promotions, you will not have a problem.

I don't know where the other people expect you to post because this is semi-related to Hot Deals. I guess you could search through the rebate tracking thread. Theoretically, I don't think you should have a problem with your CenDyne rebate, but, I have read somewhere that even if they are different rebates, they will turn it down. I do not have firsthand experience though.
