Okay, some good news... just for GeoffS.

GRRO is currently on target not only to achieve 1,000,000 in the E@H project in the first half of this year, but we're currently on target to do it 1 full month earlier than expected! And, we still have a couple rigs yet to bring online.

Well, it's Friday, and Payday, and crunchers are up and running, my SOB crunchers are putting out 2M cEMs/sec. more than they were.

Daughter's BF gave her a Jeep Cherokee, (older, needs some work). Just have to figure out how to get it from Louiville, KY to Columbus, Oh.

First stage complete

We are doing the credit apps today

I lookled at the inside yesterday, you could put 3/4 of my apartment in the 1 1/2 garage lol

3 big bedrooms a huge living room a roomy dining/kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a place for the 52 inch tv in the bonus room outside the master bed room. all the closets are double sized, all windows are double pane double hung. gas heat, gas hot water heater...

And it has 4 free breakers on top and 6 down below. only lights and plugins on the breakers and 220 for the dryer and kitchen stove each on seperate breakers WOOT.

No more power issues.

As a side note, I was talking to the owner and he is fixing to upgrade his computers (cabinet shop business) He runs a mainframe and 8 workstations. They all have win xp home on them, He wants to put win xp pro on them and network them together, he wants to implement a data back up system (tape drive) as well as make copies to dvd of each workstation and the mainframe, He also wants the mainframe be the domain hosted server. (not a good idea though) and beef up security.

I may have a short term job with the poitential for a full time position WOOT!

LOL its just renting this time around although we may lease to own.

In the garage I have a sweet spot picked out already and its at least 20 degrees cooler than the house without heat lol

I warned him, I could do most of the stuff but he would still need a qualified IT to do the security and to double check my work. He seemed very pleased with that.

If all goes as planned I'll be adding a pair of Dual MP1800 rigs next weekend!

Now if I could just find another dual AMD board, I could put another pair of MPs to work..

I've noticed you buying up all the mp stuff. Nothing lasts more then a few days in fs/t. On ebay mp combos are sprouting up for more then they should be going for. What's going on?

eBay is.. well.. eBay. You know how that goes. A lot of people are modding their boards to support the higher procs. In fact, I've been reading that some of the newer Sempron will actually work in dual mode without any mods at all! A pair of Sempron 3000s sounds like a good deal to me.

Another thing that limited sales of the duals for a long time was ECC requirement of the DDR modules - the price being somewhat prohibitive. But now, that type of memory has become considerably cheaper, so it's more reasonable for folks wanting to get into SMP, who are familiar with older procs. Could also be that some folks have apps and/or OS's that don't recognize the dual-cores of the newer CPUs.

Please keep us updated. A dualie sempron without having to bend pins & short wires on expensive Tyan boards sound good!

Great seeing all the good news!
You know, one of the really good things in my life (among quite a few other things) is ... :Q

... that I have all these great team mates in TeAm!

For all of you: have a great week end with a lot of joy, some laughter, a lot of smiles and God's blessings! :sun:

Toast to all who are posting here!

I also got my new Eyeglasses and Contacts in So I can SEE again

Johan, I'll toast a few with you too mate!

Long read - Just FYI about why we are so looking forward to moving

I have everything set as soon as they approve the credit apps and the irs money comes in. It looks like I will be moving around the 15th, and the rent is paid up at the old place till the end of feb, so I can move at a slower pace and not have to kill myself. I can't wait though. Sorry if I am a bit too excited, we have lived in this 2 bedroom apt 900 square feet with 3 children 14, 12, and 6, for 7 years and 4 months.

I am finally going to be able to fix my own cars, not have to worry so much about losing almost 5000.00 worth of computer parts over the years, and each child gets their own space.Add that there is enough room for everyone to work in the kitchen vs only 1 maybe 2 and it will be nice fixing "family" dinners.

Having to use an apartment sized 110 volt dryer and a small load washer for the last year, really sucked too, although it was better than taking 12-15 loads a week to the laundromat.

It being on the ground floor means I only have to climb stairs to go to bed

No more carrying groceries and furniture up 2 flights of stairs 1 long 1 small. No more issues with a badly damaged and aging diswasher that has to be "fixed" every 2-3 months. Or a toilet that has to be babysat when the pipes get no air from the vent pipes, or the sink where you shave takes 20 minutes to drain because the vent pipes are stopped up and they refuse to fix them. Or how the gas heater (If you forget and turn it off takes days of wiggling the switch to get it to come back on.

I will get to work on my own vehicles in the garage, not having to worry about expensive labor costs or the 50.00 fee if you get caught swapping out a tire etc...

Yep I am Stoked

I can't wait to "throw the bird" to the apartment as I bid adieu

Mike

Dang man, excited would be an understatement. Man, that's great. I know the feeling, we went from a small 2 bedroom townhouse to renting a 4 bedroom house with a garage. I can still remember the first morning waking up and hearing the birds chirp, and realizing how much light there was (only a couple of windows in the townhouse, not much sunlight got in). Having a garage with a workbench that I could work on my cars wthout fears of complaints. Not having to worry as much about break-ins.

And especially having a yard to play with the kids! Good times!

I agree man. I am so stoked, the last few years this place has gotten on my nerves. If they dont see your parking tag, they tow your vehicles (at night with flashlights and half the time they don't even look to see if you have a parking tag). We had ours towed 6 times, I paid the last tow truck driver 130.00 (to drop the car) even after showing him the tag in the window and driving the car that was "inoperable" according to the security guys.

I made them pay 2x for lost wages and made them return our car after showing them the tag that was still promenently displayed in the front windshield.

I can't wait to hear the birds

Man some good news at last or rather at 3:30am. Just got home from from meeting with one of my best friends I haven't seen in a year. It was really cool talking about old times and the cold ones went down pretty darn great!

That's what I've been trying to get in to on and off for the past semester... When I can find time to get to the practices, the workout kicks my gluteus maximus. I don't have a chance at the walking-backwards-on-your-hands stuff, though.

My good news is that, uh, I'm still here. The Athlon X2 hasn't gotten any slower (good for DC). Oh, and I traded in my old camera for one that's a bit newer; it's a pity that DSLRs can't be made to run DC projects (though that would probably kill the battery life).
