Thought I'd contribute

I just passed my last Microsoft certification test and am now officially an MCSE on Windows Server 2003.

I probably can't even get a A+. Excellent work there.

Good news eh? Well, I don't really know if this counts, but I became a Volunteer firefighter last month. I really enjoy it.

I'm not as fit as I could be... 5'10" 195lbs... a bit flabby and not particularly flexible, my main source of exercise being ice hockey refereeing and walking my Rottie mix (and I stress walking... he needs to smell everything... running is impossible with him), so lower body was okay, upper body was basically ignored... in the 3 months I've been at it, I'm discovering I'm getting more flexible (btw I'm 41 yrs old) and the endurance is getting better too (our teacher uses boxing elements in our training also)... there's a guy that's over 400 lbs in our class... it's all about desire, determination and discipline! Start up and keep with it

Thanks for the info

Btw lbs means nothing to me ,I use stones or Kgs ,I'm 5'10" ,about 12.5st ~80kgs (I think)

Great job on your desire to kick the habit! That's the first step!

A guy at work here tried hypnosis... he's been off for over a week now... a woman here at work tried hypnosis and was smoking again the next day... not sure how hypnosis suppresses physiological needs/desires brought on by addiction... but it seems to be hit an miss.

Now I can post and actually be really cheerful about it! I got my taxes done this evening(H&R Block) and am anticipating a refund of about $3,100 from the Feds. :Q

Aside from bills that I'm going to be cheerfully paying off with the funds, I also spent $300 on the Microsoft Action Pack. For those that don't know, this is a great way for consultants and others to get a TON of great MS products legally to try, test, develop, use, etc. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/partners and click on the link to "Subscribe to Microsoft Action Pack" to learn more.

Needless to say, I'm looking forward to installing XP Pro, Office 2003, 2003 Server, 2003 Exchange Server, 2005 SQL Server, etc. on my home-office computers.

[/i]Financial note: Yes, I know that I'd be wiser to be getting a little extra in each paycheck during the year and investing it to gain the benefit of interest along the way.. I just haven't been disciplined enough to do so.[/i]

I always wanted to be a firefighter growing up. They somewhat recently changed the requirements to include a couple years of college. I don't want to go back.

Excellent! I'm looking at about $2200, and have been eyeballing that Action Pack for about 6 months now... And, I, too, am not disciplined enough to put the extra money aside each paycheck either!
