Yeah, well, sorry for the OT, and sorry for the attitude. I am somewhat unhappy that they seem to have lost (in their Atlanta warehouse--corporate headquaters location, btw) an Asus V7700 Deluxe that I had coming in. I'm also getting different answers from different customer service reps--always a sign of a "tight" operation, eh?

UPS stinks for this plain and simple fact: Their "brokerage" fees. I actually prefer getting USPS parcels a few days later, then the prospect of paying UPS' crappy excessive brokerage fees.

I think ups is decent haven't really had a problem with them except for the fact that they NEVER EVER knock when they drop off a package, so I always have to listen for the stoopid truck, those b@sturds, I love scaring them by opening the door right when they are putting the package down

Bad things can happen with any delivery service, but UPS does the least to remedy the problem, in my experience with them as well.

UPS really sucks. I got my Sony Clie today by accident when I just walked out of my door and it was there. No knock, door ring, anything! Same thing happened with my neighbors today. They had about 3 packages on their doorstep so I went over and told them. They were suprised also as no one had knocked or rung the bell. :|

yeah... they sorta knock once, then wait 5 seconds before dropping it at your front door and running off.

No. Because you can't.

Hell, since Delivery Confirmation only confirms delivery to a post office serving the destination zip code, even THAT is worthless.

If they lost it, they'll pay for it. They always do, so don't sweat it.

I prefer FedEx too for small parcels. But you can't ship 30# packages via FedEx for under $7. Can you? No.

UPS brokerage fees are SOOO SUCK.
but that's only because I live in Canada.

I bought from ehobbies.com once and they shipped my order in 3 different shipments using UPS. taking it across the border cost me just under $100 in BROKERAGE FEES. just to mention, my order was $112.55, so I basically paid double the price.

now I use USPS express or FedEX. most of the time, there's no extra fees at all, and I'm SOOO HAPPY!

Am I the only one to have a UPS man that is exactly like the one from Mad TV? I swear he looks and acts just like him, he's really jumpy and always in a hurry. He's hilarious.

I've shipped over thirty packages with ups and packaged them all very very well.
I've had over seven packages arrive all messed up both package and contents because of UPS.
I've stopped using their service completely for personal stuff and have switched to fedex even if it costs more because fedex has only done wrong once for me.
