Mods: We need something to lighten the mood here, it's getting too tense with the election just around the corner. Maybe people can discover they have more in common than they thought

I have an undergrad degree in pharmacy, a PhD in cellular biology, and about 4/5 of a chemical engineering degree. I have the equivalent of a BS. in chemistry and physics. I have had a varied and colorful career history, which I won't go into. It's been a long strange trip

Right now my aim is to get my woodworking equipment and skills up to snuff. I have a lot of big ideas. Just need time and money

That do it?

Breast fed three children. Oh wait, something we have in common...

Let's see... youngest child in my family, born in the month of March, love sci fi/fantasy, love animals, would rather go to a national park than a city/club.

I'm a Masters student in Bioengineering with an emphasis in Bioenergy/biological resources at University of Maryland. Graduated in 2003 with dual BS's in Biology and Psychology. I like video games and reading books. My favorite past time has to be Counter-Strike. I also enjoy collecting guns and bar hopping for girls.

I've just been to my first political congress of the party I'm member of, it was very interesting actually beeing able to give your oppionion and help changing the political statments we'll going to adopt and work for in the future. I've joined a group which will outline our policy towards biotechnology including our ethical stance, I think it'll be really interesting specially since we're the first ones who have the balls to state a policy, and not just ignore the need for taking a stance. Yay for democracy

Hey loki, I minored in Sociology. Very fascinating and useful, I think. I love sitting back and watching people interact. Understanding the dynamics definitely gives you an advantage.

<--Psychology major, currently teaching special ed, not really sure if I want to go back for my MA in Counseling Ed but might.

Non-degreed professional. Went to college on a tennis scholarship but didn't finish in order to persue heart-shaped behinds on a full-time basis. Taught tennis and subsequently joined the Air Force because my first wife didn't like the ladies hanging around the pro shop all the time. Divorced her.

Now I write for a living and enjoy reading sci-fi in my spare time. I've surfed waves for over 35 years. Play golf to a single-digit handicap. Love cooking cuisine of all varieties. Can grill a the best steak you'll ever eat. Have built my own computers for 13 years. I'm lucky enough to be married for 16+ years to the kindest and most wonderful woman in the world, who has taught me the true meaning of love and relationships.

frshman in college, majoring in economics, and poly scim and eventually i'll be working on a masters and hopefully a PHD someday. Been a big political junky most of my life. I built my first computer (actually a friend of mine did most of the work and picked most of the parts), got interested and i've been reading techsites and constantly upgrading and improveing it for the last 10 months. Thats how I ended up here.

I used to be a hardcore Counterstriker, but the combination of sh!tty internet, death of my clan, and Rome: total war killed my devotion. Now I sleep alot and skip the worthless classes I signed up for (calc is so boring), ocasionally golf, but its cold and dark here now (sun's setting at about 5 pm and rising at about 8a m) and the courses are for the most part closed for the season. I'm unemployed by choice atm, and in the summer I work at a golf course, which is great because I get paid to drive a mower around and daydream and the like, but on the other hand i have to get up at 5 and it always dark and cold and i can never stay our late.

I'm a fourth year student University of Florida. Was a computer science major until I became disillusioned over the idea of programming for the rest of my life. Switched to General Business which isn't too bad but will lead to a new set of hurdles since I stutter a bit. Its been a tough year due to losing a bunch of friends due to graduations & drama but I'm working to turn all that around soon. I bike, bike, and well, bike - spending the remainder of that time with my girlfriend of 16 months and working odd jobs.

Edit: I'm also praying that I get a Grocery Store Assistant Manager position soon. My plain 'ol common sense and charisma has gotten me through 2 job-tests and 2 interviews so far and everything is looking good. Hopefully the deities above will bless me with this excellent foot-in-the-door job. :gift:

I'm currently more of a web designer than anything but I might seek an MBA if the business profession sits well with me or do university all over again - in geology, journalism, or marketting. Depressing facts aside, I love travelling, getting lost, spotting beauties of nature and urban decay, photography, drawing, lounge music and life in general.

The very creation of the P&N forums made me tons more interested in current events and the world around me and I'm eternally grateful for that. *hugs for all*

26 year old mature student of economics, political junkie and computer newb (but I'm learning).

Formerly a waiter/bartender who drank as a hobby. Have largely replaced that habit with video games and neffing.

No, seriously, Im 16 and go to the local community college instead of highschool. Work at a sporting goods/clothing/shoe store and spend my free time on a few forums and games (Rome:total war currently). Built this computer (my first pc, used to be a mac guy) this summer and then modded my tivo . Politics and current events have always interested me but I've only really gotten into it since 9/11

I am 22 yrs old. I have a degree in programming (and analysis. The whole 9 yards). I now work for a database consulting company.

My passions are working with and building computers, and writing software. If I could live to be 200 (or more), I would definately get degrees in Philosophy (I LOVE philosophy) and Economics. Unfortunately, degrees in both of them are pretty useless at the moment and I don't have time to persue my interests in them. I especially like political philosophy.
