They just expanded our Walmart and it now has the full blown grocery isle and is overall bigger, even the other departments. It's not 100% done yet, lot of stuff that needs to be closed in such as a junction box on the ceiling (only I would notice that stuff) with like 100 pig tailed wires all sticking out.

It's literally a 1 stop shop now. I can walk out of there with everything I need.

The downside is big stores like this do kill small businesses... But it's always big corporations that win and small businesses just need to figure ways to work around that such as offering extra services that they specialize in.

I love Walmart, never had been to one until last week. It's got everything. You go in there to get some essential supplies but then you come with more stuff.

Wal-Mart always says save money and all that. But most customers that I check out always have total costs at over $140. About 75%. Their marketing is really doing great. They just use those low prices as bait, but you're really paying full retail on most of the stuff

super walmart was the place to be in my college town... but as an adult, I find the produce and fresh meat selections to be much better at my local grocery store.

I wouldn't buy produce/meat/prepared foods at Walmart if it was free. Non-perishables, fine, but the other stuff just looks terrible.

This is wrong. Small business wish they were closer to WalMart for the traffic alone! Walmart kills business that don't know how to adapt (ie - are bad a being a business).

I wish they would open a WalMart supercenter here in Hawaii, would kill the overpriced grocery stores we have to deal with, or at least make them competitive...

Solid stores with just about everything that one could need, shame the only supermarket within walking distance is a bit overpriced. It would be great to have one within walking distance, driving to the sucker is a pain due to traffic.

i'm not sure what you mean in your 1st 2 or 3 sentences... but instead of paying 49.99 for something, you're paying 49.96...

Walmart does have good prices, but it is full of so many dirtbags I refuse to go there. I don't mind spending a few extra $ and going to a nice neighborhood store.

I used to go to walmart regularly for lunch at my last job. You could get a huge platter of food that tasted good for like $4.

They had chicken fingers, popcorn chicken, popcorn shrimp, spiced potato wedges, mac & cheese, and other stuff. Wasn't healthy food but it was damn good and cheap.

I travel 17 miles to my Walmart.

I was giddy like a little school-girl when they turned the run down POS walmart across my street into a super-walmart

Produce and meats

Yeah, I've never even bought meat there except for ground beef. I just don't feel comfortable doing it.

Super happy with my Wal-mart since they got groceries. They had a whole slab of salmon for $8. Here in the local supermarket I only get 1/3 of what I got from WM for that price.

Going tomorrow!!!

From my limited experience, probably on some items. But it seemed like their prices matched those of Costco and their selection of items outmatched Costco.

Walmart is cool for basic groceries (cereal, milk, eggs etc) but if you're looking for anything more specialized you likely won't find it there.
