But the "knowable" is unknown until it's known...if people followed your advice, we'd still be living in caves, eating raw meat.

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.

"Our" and "known" universe contradicts the notion of there being nothing before the expansion, regardless of containing all its energy. Otherwise, simply "universe" means everything including the unknown and thus supposed multiverse and so on to infinity.

The universe is eternal and goes through endless cycles of expansion and contraction.

There was no explosion, just expansion.

It's the same view, just different words. There was a, at first, orderly expansion of a singularity, and it became chaotic after the properties of physics came in to play.

Yes, but within what... and so on?

Most likely the universe floats in a universal medium like bubbles in a glass of 7-UP. The nature of this medium may never be known as we're trapped inside our bubble.

Collisions in a higher domain caused the big bang and instantiation of our universe in a lower domain? Either natural phenomenon or someone in the higher domain is playing with particle accelerator collisions and is creating big bangs and universes without knowing it.

Whatever happened we will never know because our physics and detection instruments are built from this domain and are therefore limited to this domain and are forever incapable of perceiving any higher domain that gave rise to our universe.

Like "The Matrix", only an external intervention from the higher domain would ever clue us in if the higher domain contained sentient intelligent life, but even then it would have to be in a form we could perceive and understand in our domain.

Ants don't understand anything about industrialization and synthetic textiles when they are being stepped on. But even then that's an over simplification that isn't even valid as ants and humans are of the same universe, so that example doesn't even begin to convey the inability to perceive something beyond our realm. Imagine trying to explain our universe to someone from a universe without gravity or electromagnetism. Its a paradox like trying to define a word by using the word itself. There would be no equivalence to explain one universe in terms of another.

The universe was not created from nothing. It started from a point infinitely dense which exploded for an unknown reason.

It you want to blow your mind, consider that 49% of the matter created in the big bang was antimatter, and 51% was matter. Most of it annihilated each other, and everything you see today is made from that leftover 1%.

Thats the easy part to know, even I can figure it out.

Since the big bang (theoretically, mind you) contained all the matter/energy in the universe, it hit the upper limit of how much energy it was allowed to store. Think of it as the opposite of absolute zero:

For a better explanation than I can provide, read A Brief History of Time. Basically, trying to figure out what happened before the creation of the universe is pointless.

The universe is eternal and goes through endless cycles of expansion and contraction.

This is wrong. if you consider entropy then you will see that this is impossible given that our universe started with incredibly low entropy

There are quite a few theories being floated lately, including pausing inflation, colliding branes (not brains!) and four-dimensional black holes.

Personally, my current favorite theory is a holographic universe inside a three-dimensional black hole. I figure a star collapsed, explaining the initial inflation, but it had a companion that it's now taking material from, explaining "dark energy". So that shouldn't lead to a "big rip", but it might lead to a small rip.

In eternal blackness, in the midst of the darkest night
Proteins and minerals, exist within specks of light
Solids liquids and gases, and sparks of light within
Infinite lengths and widths and depths and heights
No beginning or ending, the seven dimensions
Enough space for more than a million words and inventions
To travel through time within enough room to be the womb
Of the most high's great mind which he will soon make shine
With intelligent elements in sight that he will gather
In the realms of relativity electricity struck matter
Energies explode he below to keep releasin
Atoms by the millions, til the numbers increasin
Til it was burnin he kept returnin itself to the source
The hotter his thoughts it gave the center more force
He gave birth to the sun which would follow his laws
All caused by his mental intercourse, who is God?

He began to explain his craft, the master in the attic
He dealt with measurements his language, was mathematics
His theoretical wisdom of the numerical system
The complete number nine which means born or existed
He gave birth to all planets, inorganic, and organic
So you wouldn't take it for granted
They rotated they own distance around the sun
And fully submit to the existance of one
And each one was promised everlasting perfection
If each one keeps spinnin in the same direction
To the East, and each speak the motion of peace
And harmony, and each show devotion to teach
The universe is to come, the whole world must go according
Know your galaxies and mirages stars start fallin
So stay in your orbit maintain safe and sound
Like the planets each cipher remains perfectly round

From unconciousness, to conciousness
By knowledging his wisdom his response is this
A understanding, which is the best part
He picked the third planet where new forms of life would start
He pursued show and prove every move in order
Back to the source he let off his resources in the water
Climb his climax, where the climate is at, high degrees
See he start to breathe deep in the darkest seas
And the plan is, to lay in the clays to form land
And expand, usin the same clays to born man
In his own image our origin begins in the East
Culture rise to breed, with the powers of peace
Deal in equality nature's policy is to be God
Build or destroy positively born life like Allah
And each one was given everlasting perfection
If each one keep living in the same direction
And life was life, and love was love
We went according by the laws of the world above
They showed us physically, we could reach infinity
But mentally, through the century we lost our identity
Life start and ending, we got trife and started sinning
Lost touch with the beginning now ciphers stop spinnin
And what was once easy became confused and hard
Which brings us back, to the mystic question, who is God?
Sixty-six trillion years since his face was shown
When the seventh angel appears, the mystery will be known
Check Revelations and Genesis, St. Luke and John
It even tells us we are Gods in the Holy Qu'ran
Wisdom Strength and Beauty, one of the meanings of God
G.O.D. you and me Gomar Oz Dubar
Knowledge Wisdom Understanding Sun Moon and Star
Man Woman and Child, and so is Allah

I think the universe is a macro version of a galaxy. It's floating around in a greater soup with other universes, and was made from bits of accreted stuff until there was enough "stuff" to be a new universe.

But again, our universe is not the universe (that is, everything). 'Tis unknowable and thus incomprehensible and thus undefinable and thus unnameable.

For which time values did it not exist?

"The entropy of the universe" is undefined. Go troll your ignorance in a different thread.

You're f****** stupid. Go learn your advance physics you ignorant dumb shitard.

It was created from nothing.

That the universe was created in one single BB is only an assumption. More modern theories go much farther than the "one single BB theory".

My personal, very non-scientific view is that, yes, the universe was indeed created by a "bang"-type event, but this is ONE universe of possibly infinite.

Think about a bottle of soda with 1000s of bubbles. Each tiny bubble will be "born" at some point and the bubble will also pop, at some point.

However, seen as a whole, there is no "beginning" since universes are born and die constantly.

ANOTHER theory would be that rather than "countless" bubbles, there is indeed only ONE universe (ours), but this universe undergoes constant BBs, it pulses. This also means there is no "beginning" since this BB, or this cycle, may be one of many which already happened and will happen.
