My apologies in advanced if this is a stupid question. I am on the low tech side of the spectrum but want to learn. I just started showing outdoor movies. I have an Epson 3500 projector, a 240" inflatable screen, a 300" fixed screen ( not yet set up) and a couple of 500 watt Ion PA speakers.(purchased at Costco). The set up provides me with a lower budget, decent quality, outdoor movie.

I am looking to hook up some type of cordless headphone / earbud system so I don't have to worry about bothering the neighbors. Even though my two closest neighbors houses are at least a couple hundred feet away I assume the sound can be heard easily. Especially in the summer when windows are open. I have yet to receive complaints but I feel uncomfortable blasting a movie at midnight. In the Northwest we normally don't start movies until 10pm right now because its not dark enough in the summer until then.

I have a blue tooth transmitter but it only can connect with two headphones . Is there someway I can provide a cordless headphone /earbud movie experience for 8 to 12 movie watchers? Thank you for taking the time to read the post. Have a great day.

Not sure if this will help out, but for my outdoor set up I use a old denon av receiver with hdmi, and a nvidia shield. The controller has headphones out on it, so I can think you can just daisy chain the headphones to the controller with several 3.55 cables and adapters. Also food for thought if your running bluetooth and set up a different way, and can bluetooth a xbox one controller to your set up, you can have the audio go to that controller and chain them to that one as well with cables and adapters.

OR you can buy a cheap bluedio headset off amazon, like the turbine series, for you can chain headphones together off the first paired set.

A much more expensive route to go is to get a bunch of these, for they will pair 2 at a time, and daisy chain the audio going to them, and hook up the headphones to all of them, 2 on each as needed. Much more money, but it will be "wireless" then. (click me)

Or screw the neighbors, or invite them over, and run a cheap chinese projector for under a hundo, a cheap receiver off ebay, some cheap speakers from goodwill, and a small cheap sub off amazon, and have a bad butt setup for outdoors and the money you would of spent on all the adapters, cables, and headphones, go to this, and a last years Nvidia shield to handle all the video

BTW, I was always looking at them inflatable screens, but wind is what has stopped me, for I couldnt stand buying it for that much, to have it waving in the wind, going in and out of focus and warping the picture. Have you had much trouble with that at all? Id love to go that big, but I bought a 100" with a frame, that can be roped to the ground with tent anchors to keep most of it from flopping around. But if its not that bad with a light gust, or stronger winds, Id love to know myself and maybe look into buying it later down the road.

Thank you for your reply. My inflatable screen has been a pleasant surprise so far. I didn't expect much but I just liked the idea of the ease of set up and portability. I bought it off of E-bay with the blower. It was $289 with the blower. They claim its 24' (288") on the diagonal but the screen is actually 240" on the diagonal. It has a seem horizontally through the middle. This surprisingly disappears and is barely noticeable during the movies. Once we staked it down the wind didn't effect the screen too bad. Winds were only up to 7 mph our worst night. It needs to be staked down firmly or it will tilt forward in any type of wind and make a little dip in the front cross member as observed in the picture in my first post. The screen is attached with Velcro and is made of a nylon silky like material that works well for a budget set up. I will be experimenting with higher wind speeds this next week. I would like to eventually set up my 300" Draper Focal point screen I bought off of E-bay. It was a rental unit but it has no frame. I need to build the frame and figure out how to mount it against the side of our barn. It would be cool if I could somehow make it a roll down drop screen. Oh well, so many project maybe someday I will have the time to do it.
