Outlook 2003 attachement issue

I have been searching for a fix and am unable to come up with an answer. I am having issues with sending attachments and embedding pictures in my emails. I would say 15% of my recipients have problems viewing and opening up the attachments.

Some emails receive partial pics and some just receive the white box with the red x and even when right clicking and then clicking show picture, there is still nothing.

Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

What attachments are you trying to send?

ie, are they jpg, or another format?

Do you use certain software like photoshop and save the pics in .psd or something like that?
If you send jpg/jpeg, do the recipients still have problems viewing the pics?

I don't think that the problem is with the image file format, but with the way the e-mail server that you are sending mail through processes the files. The red X means that the recipient's e-mail client could not find the image file to display.

Make sure that the pictures are in JPEG format, and that their sizes are not too big that the receiver's e-mail system block them. Some e-mail system like gmail will block pictures from downloading automatically. Recipients have to enable the picture downloading. Other than that, talk to your Internet Service Provider to see if they can help.

The only thing I don't get is that this never happened on my old machine running XP.
