Outlook Express mail server question

I use outlook express for my mail. I have two email accounts which OE pulls. When i reply it obviously responds using the account the message was sent to. the problem I have is that the mail servers are specific to the location. Meaning that my work email will not send when I am at home and my home will not send at work. to get around this I have to manually change the outgoing email server.

My questions is: Is there a way to set a rule that if I am connectd to my work network the outgoing email server will be changed and the same is true when i am at home no matter which account i am using?

I have the same situation on my laptop when I travel. My solution is to use the separate accounts. One for home is cable, on the road it is Sprint, and there is one for dialup, another for "Any Available." These are the SMTP settings that are different. The POP3 box can be constant. All I do is look at the reply and then select the appropriate account. There is a small down arrow provided by OE. It works the same for Vista using Windows Mail. It is operatior choice. I know of no way to automate it - nor would I want to. It is nice to be in charge and not be subordinate to a piece of machinery.

It might be possible to do it through totally sepoarate login for the OS. When at work, login in as a different user, and set up OE accordingly.

I thought about that but then I am hoping to avid having to swich anyhting manually. I mainly courious to see if it can be done.
