My machine has crashed and I am sending it in for warranty repair to determine if it is a motherboard or cpu type issue, as I have ruled out most everything else. I want to wipe my harddrive before I send it in as I do not want anyone going thru my data. I have the harddrive pulled out and tethered to another machine while I copy files off onto a portible harddrive (xdrive).
Most of the stuff is moved. I want to also save and later reload, my saved sent and received outlook emails. I just have to determine where those files are located on the harddrive so that I can use windows explorer to drag them over to the portible device.
Where would I find these records on the harddrive? The system that crashed was running win xp pro and office xp. The harddrive is tethered to a win98 machine and I am running software to allow the 98 machine to see the xp pro drive.
Thanks
