I bought two and got one going. Works good (no overclocing etc. for the time being). Let me know what are the numbers you are looking for and I will post the details from the box and the cpu (I made the system for my brother and gave it to him - so it would take some time if I need to read from the computer).

Load up a copy of the latest CPU-Z and tell us if it's the 90nm Palermo core or if it's the older 130nm Paris core...if it's Palermo, does it say it has SSE3? If it does, it'll also have 64bit.

And all Semprons 3000+ and higher have CnQ.

Well, I also bought the Sempron 3100+ (OEM) bundle with the NForce 3A MB. According to CPU-z it is a paris core (0.13Mu M) , it doesn't (under instrcutions) have SSE3 but has x86-64. The chip has only the letters AX (not BX). So it looks like it has the 64 bit instructions according to these 2 articles. I will check the boxed sempron CPU when I have the time.

I also bought multiple sets with the NForce3-A board, but this is Retail and is likely very different.

I would really like for someone to identify it by the numbers on the lid (the top of the chip) and/or through CPU-Z.

Bump. C'mon those who bought the RETAIL BOX unit and not the OEM with mobo, what core did you get? If looking at the top of the bare core, look for the line of text like this:

SDA3100XXXXXX

where the XXXXXX tell us what we want to know. For instance, the OEM Paris core that people were getting with the motherboard had this on top:

SDA3100AIP3AX

If CPU has already been installed in system, then run latest CPU-Z and look for the "Revision" right underneath "Stepping."
