Doesn't matter. If you truely believed in what you say, then you would have found a better way. There are many people who are serious about what they say, unlike you, and either find, create or come up with a different way of doing the same job. I don't see any excuses stopping them, but you seem to have a never ending supply of them.

BTW, why don't you let all the suv drivers know that there are hybrids that can hold all their stuff and tow a trailer. Oh wait, there aren't any. Maybe you will now run to their defense since they have no other choice, like you have weakly defended your own actions.

This will be my last post in this thread. It's all yours now Dave. [hands off batton]

Show me a bunch of SUV's loaded to the gills. Show me the road full of SUV's pulling trailers. There are some but certainly not the majority. There is a good reason they are called Urban Assault Vehicles. Most of the time it is empty except with the one or two riders in the front seats.

Thanks for pointing that very problem out. Why isn't there Hybrid SUV's out NOW? Because the SUV making Corporate Thugs are in bed with the Sand Thugs and want the U.S. to consume more Oil and Gas. It was a coordinated sucker punch at the American sheep. Those that can't afford to shell out $50-100 for a tank deserve what they get.

You know, there was once aclass action suit against the big three, firestone and a few oil companies. They bought most of the mass transportation in the US and closed it down. Thye lost the case. It cost them 1 dollar a piece. True story, I remember watching it.

Mass Transit, what a joke.

Atlanta just let go of 300 Bus drivers and sold the 300 busses. The train that only runs south of the city from the Airport to northern fringe of the city and only limited East west lines doesn't even run from midnight to 5 am so you can't use the train to go out on the town at night.

Edit: for those jumping Dave about hypocrisy, probably from your Sport Utility Barge, stuff it. It's ludicrous to suggest string trimmers have any material impact on U.S. oil consumption. You're just being obnoxious, and everyone knows it.
Now trimmers don't use gas or pollute.
What will the libbies think of next? Oh right, they are only bad when a republican use them or profit from selling them. Excuse my misunderstanding.
That bears no resemblance to anything I actually said, of course. I guess making up garbage is the bleating Bushie substitute for intelligent discussion. Attack with whatever you have; invent whatever you don't.

"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt."

Don't blame me for Dave being a hypocrite. He says other people should be inconvenienced and buy hybrids. Yet when an electric trimmer won't do the job in his yard and will inconvenience him, his is free to buy a gas one. I don't know what's worse: Dave being a blatent hypocrite or him asking you to come and defend him in this thread!
Your crack about Dave is just another unwarranted personal attack. As we've already seen, he's quite capable of defending himself. I'm blaming you for misrepresenting -- i.e., lying -- about what I said. You and Cad could both use lessons on how to debate honestly instead of constantly lying about your opponents' statements and positions.

You're welcome to offer examples any time you think you're up to the task. I've shown many times I will acknowledge and correct mistakes. I have yet to see you do that even once. Perhaps that's because you're as perfect as you think you are. That's not how I'm betting, however.

I never claimed to be "perfect" as you suggest I think I am. You are 0-2 in the last two days(if not 0-3) with your attacks on me so yes - it's quite rich that you suggest others get "lessons on how to debate honestly instead of constantly lying about your opponents' statements and positions" Now run along Bow - or atleast try to stay on topic(not that there is much of a topic left in this thread)

Tough times for the anti-globalization crowd. An excerpt:

Iraq means there are bigger issues on people's minds than the evils of Starbucks. In which case, why not meld anti-capitalist with anti-war protests, as happened last year? Because, fourth, apathy has spread among the ranks. Discussion papers include sad references to ?disappointing and poorly-attended meetings? and ?sheer lack of turnout?.

Regarding trimmers. Don't use them. Grass is an abomination to be avoided at all costs. It was probably invented by the Nazis as a ploy to colonize the world.

Really, I hate all these neatly trimmed lawns and leaf blowers and trimmers. It truly sucks. I wouldn't be living in a development with lawn service if it weren't for the demands of my wife. Give me trees and brush and some WILD grass that humans won't fertilize, or use other chemicals or machines on. Here in Florida it is terrible. Guys are out with their nail clippers trimming their grass to the 32nd of an inch. Disgusting anal behavior being reinforced by cultural norms!

Exactly, mowing and clipping is for nutured wimps! Who would waste their time with such dribblings when its much more satisfying to burn up large sums of gasoline stocks by crushing the wild prairie grass with your high polluting, tooting pack of four wheelers.
