I doubt it, Crucial PC2100 can usually go well past 145MHz. If possible set your memory to run at less than a 1:1 ratio (4:3, for example) and see if that allows you to get any higher. If so, then you need some PC2700.

I'm running Crucial PC2100 @ PC2700 speeds (166 MHz DDR) at 2-2-2-5 timings (the fastest ones) with zero problems whatsoever.

I guess it's a crapshoot because my Crucial (2 x 512Mb with Infineon chips) won't go past 311Mhz. Maybe it's the Infineon chips. Do you guys have the 256Mb sticks with the real Micron chips?

I got myself 2 x 512Mb of the new Corsair PC2700 XMS RAM. It's running at 340Mhz right now. Ran 10hrs of Memtest 86, looped with zero errors.

I have a Crucial 512MB module ... I read a review somewhere where the module had Micron chips ... what I received had Infineon (probably should've bought that mushkin ... oh well). Besides the 311Mhz(?) from RalfHutter, what's the fastest that anyone has gone with these chips? I'm using a P4B266-C with a 1.6A, I'd like to compare notes ... I'm currently running @ 2.1Ghz with basic settings. I tried the aggresive settings like you would a 256MB module with real micron chips but the cdrom would get read errors.

so how do you change the ration. if it has to do with dimm voltage adjustments, i cannot do it because my mobo does not have that option available. i have tried lowering my timings to the lowest possible performance, but it won't get stable above 146. it's odd because at max timings, it's rock stable at 145, and even if i change my timings, it doesn't do anything to increase my fsb. i suspect that i cannot go higher because i do not have a dimm voltage adjustment option. could it be the chip? it's a agoga xp1700.

ive had generic nanya that could hit 310mhz with CAS2 ,

I would recomend the Corsair Ultra XMS 2700 though.

psazerodivide - Is your 2.1Ghz speed at 132 or 133FSB? Is your memory speed at 1:1 or at 3:4? Your memory is either running at about 266Mhz or 450Mhz. If it's 350Mhz that's great for Crucial/Infineon 512Mb RAM.

You can set your mem ratio to run at 3/4 of your FSB in your bios, it is called Dram frequency or something like that, you can choose 100 or 133. It should be located in the 3rd or 4th "tab" in your bios. I can hit 282 CAS2 and 296 CAS2.5 stable with my generic nanya 2100. But Crucial ones shoud do much better. Try lowering the freq. to 100 to make sure.

RalfHutter, the CPU speed had 3 options, Manual|1600|2133 so I set it to 2133. I believe that the FSB set itself to 133. The CPU/Memory ratio was also set to Auto. RAM was set to SPD. Unfortunately, I can't check it right now because my video card went out on me.
