Yea, i got to wonder if I did it with all the overclocking or the board had an problem to begin with. With all the troubles with this board and memory i believe it's the board.
Grrrrrrr i just installed Vista premium 32bit and now mines making the same clunking noise, its defo a HDD being turned off then on again, i last read this last week and i had XP and i didnt understand what the op meant, well i frickin do now cos its doing my nuts in.
This is defo a vista problem.
What motherboard did you get in the end MrFatBoy ?
And change your specs you lazy sod then i wouldnt have to ask.....lol
I dont think this is a vista problem. I had the same problem with xp. Its the p35c board. I am running my new p45 and the clunk has gone away. I think the C version has always been a problem. I believe it stems from having problems with power issues/circuitry of ddr2/ddr3.
Hi folks. I´m pretty new here and Im having the same problem.
FSB setting is ignored (but no the multiplier). I´ve been using my Q6600 overclocked at 3.2 (400X8) for the last 6 months.
Does anyone solved the problem?
