OverClocked: AOpen beats Epox

I just bought this Board last week havent been able to read much about it so I just thought see if anyone knew much about it
running with a 1800+ @ 145 = 1668 (XP 2000+) havent messed with multiplier yet had to turn up the voltage to 1.85 it froze at 147
im using 1 stick of crucial PC2100 256mb

system temp is 41c and cpu is 48(idle)
using a thermaltake Volcano 6cu w/asII to cool it

What does this have to do with Aopen beating Epox?

I just thought it intresting that a board thats not getting so much press outperformed one of the leading OC boards out there
and by throwing up that link it might just spark a lil intrest in a pretty decent board thats out there

as for use with axp cpus, there's a major point you ignore
the 8k3a+ reads onboard diode temperature
does the aopen?, from your temps i doubt it
boards with the same chipset tend to run within a few percentage points of each other, epox shows up towards the top end in most reviews i've read
features, stability and support are quite important, and ocing is variable from board to board and cpu to cpu...a test of one sample board vs. another that shows a small advantage for one board over the other isn't conclusive
the aopen board seems to be a fine board, but an oc difference of 30 mhz at a much lower fsb speed than the epox is hardly enough to make a decision between the two
that said, glad your board is working well and good luck with your ocing
from what i;ve read and observed volcano 6's tend to be pretty craptacular, consider and slk 600 or 800 if you want to really max out your chip
