overclockin help

im pretty new to this whole idea of overclockin, and have no clue what i am doin when it comes to video cards. i obviously cant do much from bios, so there must be somethin im missin. in other words, how do you oc a vid card

You need a program. p.e.: Rage3D for Ati or Coolbits for Nvidia. Those have sliders you can adjust the clocks with. You have to be very carefull if you don't want to kill your card. Read a guide on how to overclock to be secure of what you're doing.

Affirmative. I recommend searching the net for your card and a review about it. Example: "Review ATI 9800 Pro" Once you find a review about your specific card, checkout the Overclocking section of the review. This should give you some idea or even the most extreme (without modin your card or extreme case cooling) of what you can expect from your card. This doesn't mean to jump to these settings. I think it's recommended to start out in 5mhz increments and do core/memory separately.
