Overclocking 700E with P3V4X

I was having some difficulty overclocking my 700E up to a 933 with a 133 FSB.
I can only post at 868 with a 124 FSB right now, and I can't figure out why. Does anyone have any idea if it has to do with the BIOS version? I have the most recent update 1005. I think I saw some post where someone talked about their 700E overclocking fine with the 1003 revision but couldn't overclock as well with the 1005 revision.
Otherwise, can anyone else help out?

Hmm, I have the same setup, but never heard where the older bios is more overclockable. Sounds a bit fishy to me. You probably know the drill, bump up the voltage. It might also be a problem with your memory not being able to handle the higher bus speed at the latency setting. You can always run your memory slower with the p3v4x to make sure that isn't the problem.

After all's said and done, it might just be that your chip is a bit of a dud. Who knows.

i am running my pc at 910mhz with the fsb at 130mhz.
i have a problem too, can't seem to get it up to 933mhz or more. Some guys can get it up to 1008mhz.
1 friend of mine said that the older clock generator need a heat sink on it coz there's a heat problem with it . this true ???
any1 can help ?

Many say that cooling the clock gen chip helps, see here-Benifits of cooling clock gen chip give it a try. Helped me get from 910 to 949.
