Overclocking Duron 600mhz. What motherboard?

I just got a Duron600, and was wondering if there are any motherboards cheaper than the KT7 that I can overclock it with? How high is it likely to go?

The Asus A7V is a tad cheaper, though not by much. Expect something around 800 or 850. If you get more, good for you.

This question is all a matter of optinions. Either you will want an Abit KT7 or Asus A7V. Those are the 2 best around. My personal advice is to go for the Abit KT7. Its better for overclocking than the asus, and overall, I much prefer abit over asus. Not to mention the fact that the asus only has 5 pci slots comparied to abits 6, and the asus doesnt have any ISO slots (if you have any older cards that you will be using.)

I agree with Scaromanga. I have a Abit KT7 and love it. i havent overclocked yet, because i want to get a better heatsink. So get a KT7, you wont regret it.

hmm... I will strongly consider getting a kt7/kt7 raid, but I don't have an unlimited budget. What is the difference with a kt7 raid vs kt7?
Also, what is a good place that has a tutorial on overclocking the duron? thanks!

go for the kt7-raid. great board and the active cooling on the north bridge really keeps her rock solid when pushing her to the limit.

I have an A7V and after a huge struggle (mostly due to my ignorance) I'm running a Duron 600 at 950MHz. As far as the Abit board I would refer you to this thread.
