What RAM do you have?

The timings/speed will be available in the BIOS. I don't have time to look ATM, but your manual will show you how to adjust this.

I would lower the speed if you are running it currently at its rated speed. The timings really aren't worth messing with, IMO.

im running 4 gigs of ddr2 2 1 gig sticks of corsair 6400 ddr2 and 2 1 gig sticks of supertalant ddr2 heres the info from speccy

Type DDR2
Size 4096 MBytes
Channels # Dual
DRAM Frequency 334.1 MHz
CAS# Latency (CL) 5 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) 5 clocks
RAS# Precharge (tRP) 5 clocks
Cycle Time (tRAS) 15 clocks
Bank Cycle Time (tRC) 21 clocks
Command Rate (CR) 2T

also im using the bios auto overclocking utility i have the overclock set to auto instead of manual for my cpu

Well, since the Corsair are 800, and assuming the Supertalent are the same speed (do you know for sure what the speed is?), you have some decent headroom as-is, since they are running 667 now (according to the data in your post).

Have you tried some overclocking yet?
What CPU do you have, and what cooler do you have it?
Make sure you are monitoring temps, mainly under load.

The timing is nice for 667.if they are.and overclocking them will not make a big change.and as mention by Ketchup.what is your cpu.

You could potentially lower the memory clocks even further to the last rung ~

Memory Timings

  1. @ 400 MHz 6-6-6-18 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS) / 24-51-3-6-3-3 (RC-RFC-RRD-WR-WTR-RTP)
  2. @ 333 MHz 5-5-5-15 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS) / 20-43-3-5-3-3 (RC-RFC-RRD-WR-WTR-RTP)
  3. @ 266 MHz 4-4-4-12 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS) / 16-34-2-4-2-2 (RC-RFC-RRD-WR-WTR-RTP)
I have overclocked my system by 30% with memory at 665MHz & manual timings of 4-4-4-12 so you'll have to see if you're mobo supports these options or not but I think it does.

what's your current OC? Start with everything at stock settings and see how high you can push the fsb before thread fail in Prime95.

Yeah, I think your CPU is lock multiplier. You have to use the front side bus (FSB) to overclock it. That's where having the correct memory setup becomes important.

keep increasing fsb a few at a time and re-test until a prime thread fails. Then bring it back down to the last good value. See what it gets you. I'm guessing somewhere around 2.6ghz.

If you want/need to go higher then it starts to get more complex. Like others have mentioned, you will have to start working with memory settings and timing, keep close eye on NB settings, disable C&C if it's even on that board, etc. If you go that route go find an old thread about OC'ing this chip.
