Overclocking on Detonator Drivers

Hello everyone,

Sorry if this has already been hashed out. I was reading through the review of 21 new Ti boards over at Tom's and, I noticed there was a section devoted to overclocking. I read through this... and correct me if I'm wrong, but does using the Detonator reference drivers from Nvidia's website make it impossible to overclock your video card? I have a Gainward Geforce2 Pro video card that I overclock with a program that came with my card, but will this only work if I used the drivers that came with the card from Gainward, or does this also work with the drivers from nvidia's website?

If you mean Gainward's Expertool, it is independent of the drivers so you can use whatever you like. In fact, Gainward ships NVidia reference drivers...

Why use that o/c-tool?
Use NVmax instead! Much easier and has all the features that is interesting...

Use the coolbits registry entry to enable the hidden overclocking tab in nVidia's drivers.
